Consider the services, staffing, and coordination needed to put policy into practice.
Plan beyond adoption
Identify who would carry out the change and what instructions, staffing, systems, and coordination they would need. Ask how people using the process will learn what has changed. A policy description alone does not explain the day-to-day work.
Define a useful review
Choose questions that show whether implementation is working as intended. Specify who will gather information, when it will be reviewed, and how concerns can be raised. Distinguish planned resources from resources actually committed.
Questions to carry with you
- Who owns each implementation task?
- What dependencies could delay the work?
- How will problems be identified and addressed?
One manageable next step
Map one implementation step from the responsible office to the person affected, including how feedback returns.
