Free information and practical help

HAB Justice (Hell and Back), run by Jessica Carroll, offers free information, learning materials, planning helpers, and community spaces. Use the information as a starting point. Confirm current rules, deadlines, eligibility, and availability with the responsible agency or a qualified professional.

Know the limits

HAB is not a law firm, government agency, emergency service, or medical provider. Using HAB does not create an attorney-client or other professional relationship. Tools and summaries do not replace advice about your specific situation. HAB cannot promise an outcome, housing, employment, transportation, admission to a program, or an immediate response.

Your account and your work

Keep your password private. Review generated documents before using or submitting them. You are responsible for what you enter and choose to share. Download a copy of work you need to keep; browser storage, devices, and online services can fail. Read each tool’s privacy and saving notices.

Community participation

The adult community is for people 18 and older. Follow the Community Rules. Posts and public replies, including “What I wish…” entries, appear without prior review. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate others, post unlawful material, or share another person’s private information. HAB may remove content or limit account access to address abuse or rule violations. A public post or listing is not a HAB endorsement.

RideShare and outside resources

RideShare helps adults connect; HAB does not provide transportation or verify drivers, riders, vehicles, insurance, or safety. Make your own arrangements and use your judgment. External websites and providers have their own rules and privacy practices. Check them before sharing information or making plans.

Privacy and contact

Read the Privacy page and the notices on individual tools. Contact j.carroll@habjustice.com to report a problem or request a correction. Changes to these terms will be posted here with an updated date.

Help from HAB is free. Always.

You do not need a single penny to get help from HAB. The help here is free.

We aim to ask only for what a tool needs to work. Check the notice on the tool you’re using before sharing anything private. Hosting and security services may keep technical logs, including IP addresses.
