Organize help around agreed roles

I already know this — skip it

What is it?

A volunteer plan assigns specific tasks people have agreed to do and names what remains outside the group’s role.

Why would I need this?

Practice welcoming participation without becoming an informal supervision system.

Show me.

  1. Ask what practical help is wanted.
  2. Define volunteer tasks and boundaries.
  3. Confirm availability and a backup.
  4. Use appropriate official or professional contacts for questions beyond the group’s authority.

Try it.

Build an invented event plan with a greeter, transport contact, and information table. Avoid assigning anyone to monitor another adult’s private life.

Watch out for this.

Volunteering does not authorize access to someone’s records or allow you to override a restriction.

Explain this another way

Focus on one small task: organize help around agreed roles. You can practice aloud, on paper, or with someone you trust.

Show me an example

HAB practice example: A group offers an optional ride after confirming the practical arrangement; it does not demand a case file in exchange.
