Make a small plan for bills

I already know this — skip it

What is it?

A budget is a plan for money coming in and going out.

Why would I need this?

It can help you see a gap before a bill is due.

Show me.

  1. List expected income for the same time period as your expenses.
  2. List essential costs and their due dates.
  3. Subtract expenses from income.
  4. If the plan does not cover the costs, identify one question or support option to investigate.

Try it.

Try the sample monthly budget below. The numbers are fictional and are not saved.

Watch out for this.

A sample budget is not a recommendation for what your own living costs should be.

Explain this another way

Put the expected money and expected bills on the same page.

Show me an example

Income of 1,600 minus sample expenses of 1,450 leaves 150 for other needs in this fictional example.

What does that word mean?

Budget: A plan comparing expected income and expenses over the same period.
